Too many dreams are broken
From the Days of Tokens
And the words that were spoken
were said in vain
But are still heard as
Echoes in the heart
Repeating endlessly
over and over again
As
Echoes in the heart

Interesting poem. A quick reaction to the first line (off the top of my head): "TOO MANY dreams are broken", implies that it is ok if some dreams are broken, as long as the number is not excessive.

One might take the position that no dream should ever be broken (i.e. that the breaking of even one dream is a tragedy.)

Or, one might take the position the every dream is broken, that all is disappointment. That nothing ever comes true.

After all, the essence of a dream is that it is unreal.

Hmm... come to think of it, the very nature of dreams makes them unbreakable in a sense. I mean. If it comes true, then it was not a dream. If it is a dream, then it is broken by definition upon waking.

Echo is a good word. Interesting. A room which is empty echoes. A furnished room does not echo.

A heart which is empty might echo.

Just some very quick reactions.

The poem has potential.

really impressive and expressive
and it sounds sad .....painful dreams oh I can just feel it that way
you can forget that kind of dreams for a period of time and suddenly all the dreams come back echoing..as the painful heart beats
