the world is a thousand tongues long and kneedeep thick
with memory that sings a river of history

tossing our bubbles along the horizon until we balance

until the steam hits the cold autumn encompassing, until
the newest and the bestest forget to listen

to the teachings of the signals that crease the evening
into origami feigning ministers and heads of pimples

we ratify and adhere to the code of barbarism
inscribed in our noble genetroughs when

we deign to dabble in the esoterical spasms of modernart
like swine in their glory at the state fair

surrounded by pieflowers crafts and folksy demagogues

the world is as shallow as a ringtoss game, as
blank and calloused as the ferriswheel man's thumb from

levers of metal. speak the farts and they will smell
romance, hijack yerself one civil infidelity at a time.

buddy can you spare a crime? mine it's in mint condition.
the sabertoothsayer doth sayeth

warble on weary flotsam, make a scene,
be mattered.
