Hello! I'm a new member. Well I joined yesterday, I think. I don't really remember. It was either yesterday or the day before. I'm a student. Music is really my passion, and I also love to read good books. Well, lets just say, only good books that are worth reading. I hate reading books that are poorly written, or are just plain.. waste of paper. I love Tolkien, basically because I'm a Middle Earth fanatic. I have just recently read Lolita, and it is by far my favorite book! I love it.

Anyways, I haven't really had much time to read a lot lately, with exams and homework and such. But with some of your comments and recommendations, I can find some good books to read that are actually worth reading. :p

Nice meeting you all!

Hiya Wanderlust Ox
Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to be if you love books - all sorts are discussed here. As for what constitutes a good book, like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder, as we say in England. Everyone's choice and taste is different. I recently read Brave New World which I wouldn't have read if I hadn't been encouraged on this forum and I really enjoyed it. Don't like Crime and Punishment, though I might give it a go. I didn't like it the first time that I read it and thought it a miserable story.

Welcome to the Literature Network forums wanderlust.

I think you will probably get a few ideas around here as to good books to read :)

The below linked `What are you reading right now?' topic has some good suggestions.

Hello hello fellow Nightwish fan!

Dead To The World

All the same take me away
We're dead to the world

The child gave thought to the poet's world
Gave comfort to the Fallen
(Heartfelt, lovelorn)

Remaining, yet still uninvited
Those words scented my soul
(Lonely soul, Ocean soul)

It's not the monsters under your bed
It is the Man next door
That makes you fear, makes you cry,
Makes you cry for the child
All the wars are fought among those lonely men
Unarmed, unscarred

I don't want to die a scarless man
A lonely soul
(Tell me now what to do)

I studied silence to learn the music
I joined the sinful to regain innocence

Heaven queen, cover me
In all that blue
Little boy, such precious joy
Is dead to the world

Heaven queen, carry me
Away from all pain
All the same take me away
We're dead to the world

Dead, silent, constant
Yet always changing
- My favorite view of this world

As he died, he will return to die in me again
Weaving the cloth, giving birth to the Century Child
Who gave his life not for the world but for me
Innocence reborn once more

...it was the name, Wanderlust, that caused me to assume (my bad) that you were a traveller......
