8) High noon where shadows flee
come the ravens in the Yew tree
calling ancient songs
betokening changing skys
Wherefore came thee memory
Shade and memory in heat
comingle and leave longing
Laying down sweet green grass
soothes delicate touch soft
Sky is deeper blue through the
craggy branches the tone of
revivify youth wonder
High up a hawk calls so clear
a dirge of essence etude sky
Why does silence like this
devour the soul with old visions
I have come a lifetime and one,
somehow hillside borne all
along
Distant horizons fall away
further now
Grave thoughts kine and swirl
naturall neath the
plow
No consequence these last
memories minus one
come the ravens in the Yew tree
calling ancient songs
betokening changing skys
Wherefore came thee memory
Shade and memory in heat
comingle and leave longing
Laying down sweet green grass
soothes delicate touch soft
Sky is deeper blue through the
craggy branches the tone of
revivify youth wonder
High up a hawk calls so clear
a dirge of essence etude sky
Why does silence like this
devour the soul with old visions
