Candid is easily to go down as one of the most important books of all time. The reason is simply the idea that this book is life itself manifested in written fromat. The book moves at a pace relative to any of our lives, constantly speeding along with crashes and bumps littered liberally throughout it, possibly forcing us to stop for a minute and try and figure it all out. The escapades of Candide and his strangley acquired entourage seem so unique, yet puzzingly similar, to ourselves. Life creates this roller-coaster ride for you to traverse with a smile and giggle running across your face until you are nearing the end and your smile quickly fades into utter disbelief as you soon come to the realization that in the end, all we really have is each other.
