I think that this book is incredibly boring - but that doesn't mean I don't like it. It has avery strong message throughout the book, revolving around the differnt themes - money, parenting, religion, duty, community, etc. I am a 14 year old student in Year 10 (9th grade, troisiéme ...) who is at the moment writing an essay on Silas Marner's life, and how George Elliot's language brings it out. I think this will be a really good and enjoyable challenge for me, as I really like writing essays. If anyone wants to share any insights with me on the book, feel free to email me with anything you want to bring up :-)
