I find that Dame Agatha Christie is the greatest crime writer ever. Her ingenuity lies in her ability to surprise the reader each time with the real criminal. Her best book was "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" because the murderer is a BIG surprise. The character of Hercule Poirot is one of literature's greatest creations and his powers of deduction are SUPER. He is a more eccentric detective than Sherlock Holmes and I find him more amusing.

I just stopped by to say what an amazing author Agatha Christie is! I, myself, have enjoyed almost all of her works, except for "A body in the library" which I found to be a little tiring to read. Other than that, I must say that I keep buying her books nonstop (I just can't avoid it) because they are both rich in quantity and quality. By this I mean that they possess an astonishing content where each guideline seems to create an intricate web on our mind which we weave with the best of cares. The "who is the murderer?" question seems to assault us more often that not and I daresay I come up with a suspect at all times, even if I'm wrong! Ten Little Niggers is by far the best book I've ever read by her. The sheer plot, the course of action, the characters, the brightness of originality and the quality of being versatile are all present in this book and it awarded me one of my best reading experiences. Who would have thought that (i'm afraid i can't say his name to those who haven't read the book yet) had murdered all those people without raising a single suspicion? Anyway, I'm making myself too long here, so I better end this comment by recommending to all of you who still haven't read a book of her that you should start today! You'll find them available in any bookstore, so hurry! Bye and kisses from Portugal! ***

I completed her novel "Peril at End House" a few days ago and I quite liked it. I loved Poirot's character. Now a days I am reading her novel "Nemisis" but I have not liked it as much as Peril at End House. I will prefer Poirot rather than Miss Marple.(I don't mean Miss Marple is not interesting, she has also a good character but I guess not better than Poirot.)

I really like Hercule Poirot. I think he is the best character created by Agatha Christie. He is a very peculiar man, but his methods to solve crimes are just amazing.

P.S.: I apologize for any of my mistakes, but english isn't my first language. :yawnb:
