Listening to Moll Flanders on audio CD was delightful. I highly recommend that as a way of reading this fun story by Danial Defoe. I thoroughly enjoyed her adventures. Although I agree that Moll makes poor choices throughout her life, I strongly believe that the first man she was involved with is to blame. She was truly manipulated by him, and his brother, and it seems to make her uncaring about herself and she emotionally put up walls in the following relationships.
