The first time I've read this book, I almost died of boredom. I just went on reading because I felt: ok, I've read 400 pages already, it will be a pity to stop now. But I started to read it again after a while, and I couldn't stop. I realised I read it too quickly the first time, while when you're reading Joice you must read it slowly and enjoy every sentance. It amazed me with its realism, the realism of the thoughts of the people, following their characters. Some of the chapters are hard to read, but I recomand the book warmly.
