I, like others who have posted comments have never read, enjoyed and truly loved a book as much as Tess. I fell in love with Tess and her story the moment i started reading and it has stayed with me ever since. Thomas Hardy is a truly wonderful writer and it was not until i read this wonderful book that I realised what a wonderful thing the English language is. I have since read many more books by many more wonderful writers, and while they will never hold a place in my heart as special as Tess I have truly come to appreciate them just the same. If you are lucky enough to get to spend time studying this at school, and are given the opportunity to truly learn about and understand the book and its context, y ou should feel truly blessed.
