Maybe this isn't an appropriate topic for the literature network but I was hoping someone here may be able to help me.
My husband loves reading books about the wild lives of rock stars and I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good one. He has read Dirt, and Kiss and Make Up by Gene Simmons.
I have to get him a birthday gift and I think he'd love something like this.

There's a great biography of Jim Morrison called "No One Gets Out Of Here Alive." Also, "U2 At The End Of The World" is a personal favorite.

Stairway to Heaven: Led Zeppelin Uncensored - Richard Cole
(Zepplin once tried to see if a VW bug would float in the ocean. The band almost drowned.)

Never Fade Away: The Kurt Cobain Story - Dave Thompson
(Also 'Come as You Are' is supposedly a good book on this subject)

Rock Stars Do the Dumbest Things - Margaret Moser, Bill Crawford
(Hillarious facts about rock stars; great light read)

I'd suggest What's the Story Oasis, its just soo funny and ridiculous. Back stage with the band oasis, you don't even have to like their music to enjoy the absurdity of their actions.
