This novel confused me a little... but after a couple of times reading it I became aware of the 'utopian' views of this brave new world. I had just finished it and I was a little amused at the fact that someone would kill themselves just to get some alone time. <br><br>I also questioned the shift of our society to that of this world. I am not sure why those peoples of this world would exchange their freedoms for 'bliss'. This "alternate reality" is quite confusing to one that sees the world as a place with imperfections and pain. <br><br>Huxley did a great job at confusing the mind of a 9th grade student. (oh... he also did a good job writing this book ^_^)
