In my English class we discussed if Don Quixote was sane or insane. He is sane as anyone else who pretends to be something they aren't. Alfonso Quixane was facinated by the code of Chilvary and wanted to pretend he was a knight. The society he lived in allowed him to take it to an extreme. Do we allow these things to happen in our society? Many people are uncomfortable with this thought but we actually allow people to play different roles. This novel is a great example of how society reacts to people who pretend to be something that they aren't.
