I really enjoyed the book. We are in some way manipulated by the narrator (who see things trough Ethan's eyes). Who is the true victim in the novel? Of course Zeena is... She is living in her own home with her husband and with the woman that her husband wants as a lover!!! More than one would drive mad in the same situation.
