I had to read Ethan Frome for my English Lit class, and we're looking up info on the novel right now in class. Anyway, I didn't really truly read the whole thing, but if I sat down one night and just read, I know I'd really like it. A hopeless romantic myself, I could understand where Ethan was coming from, and I really wish that there was a different option other than attempted suicide...Well, it was good anyhow, and the irony in that Ethan's dreams of loving Mattie forever were "killed", making them suffer together for the rest of their living days with Zeena.
