SO , like waht? Just because you can't understand it you deem it a lousy book? Now that IS pathetic. So it means that whatever book you come across and dun understand is a failure? What if people DO understand when they read it? hmm? what then? is ti still a failure? Is it still not worth one's time? I know why you don't like it... basically cos it became an assignment... that's the problem... and besides... the first fw chappies were slightly boring. if that's why you lost interest I understand, and if you're bored with soemthing.. and forced to do it, you definately would NOT undersand a thing. POTO is something to be read over and over or never. Everytime you read through it you see some thing new, trust me. But it still doesn't give you the right to say it WILL be a waste of other people's time jsut because you foudn it so. Let people decide for themselves will ya?? n btw... I'm thirteen.. so man... if yur a freshman, i'm ashamed to call myself one.

Hey! that's an INSULT to freshmen! Cos I'm one, and I fell in love with this story way beforehand. But anyway, even if whoever you are didn't like it, why should it stop others from liking it? You can't exactly take someone's word for it when like the majority says its great and gives... REASONS .. you didn't give any to base your point. You just said, hey i hated it! You should too!... that kind of thing.

What is WRONG with you? My Word, just because you can't understand such a tragic and heartbreaking book, does not mean it's dumb... it just means something isn't clicking up there *taps to the head* This doesn't mean everyone else whose eyes befall this book will not understand it as well.

Oh, by the way, I'm a freshman and I understood it perfectly because I actually took the time to read it, understand it, and feel for the characters. This book is a classic, cherie. *sighs sadly* what is wrong with some people these days... I will never know.

I agree with Anonymous, Anonymous, and Jennifer.
If you were confused many times as to what was occurring, why didn't you ask someone to explain it to you?
Although, I have met several people such as you who simply deem it stupid and idiotic because they do not understand it. You prefer more direct, realistic books, that point out everything immediately. I apologize, but many pieces of excellent literature do not fall into that category. I suggest you read it through again. Maybe you'll gain appreciation for it when you understand it. If you don't the second time....then I would advise you to speak with your literature teacher, or whoever it was that assigned you that project. Also, you sped through it. That is most likely why you did not understand it.
You did not want to do the work that understanding it and appreciating it, as well as reading, truly reading, takes.
Or that is how it appears to the best of my ability.

I apologize for any offense this may have caused you, but this review puzzled and slightly angered me I had to put this down.

this book was soooooo bad. It can't get any worse. I was confused as to what was going on many times. I heard Phantom of the opera was a good book so I decided to read it for a project. However when I started reading I hated it but unfortunately could not stop reading it because my project was due in 1 week. Just as the person in the comment above stated, do something better with your time! Take my word for it!

WHY is it bad? You can't just say, "this book is crap," and then leave us without an opinion. If you had good, solid opinions then I would have to leave it be. I dislike some books that are supposed to be good, but I have reasons to back them up. I don't just say, "Oh, they are so stupid!" I have solid opinions.

As to my evil twin: I can't believe you! Admittedly it's written unlike every other book, but that's what makes it such fun to read!

This book is SO NOT the worst book ever written! I think it's not the best, but it's one of my favorites, on the read-it-a-hundred-times-and-never-get-bored list. If you think this book is bad and you've never read it, give it a try! You shouldn't judge a book until you've read it!
