I haven't read all of it... but so far, I think that it's really descriptive, but still holds the reader's attention. I think it's an amazing thing just to have found this text online [I couldn't even find it in many libraries], but it does lack the many pictures that can be considered to be a part of the description of life on the mississippi river.
