Well if you are talking about Mabel, then I have an answer to your question. Mabel was younger, and a little spoiled, in the way " The world revolves around me". But she was also a ditz, and also quite vain. She became this way from Tommy Trafford, because he wanted to marry her. If you read the play you see this, but also you might have ANOTHER take on the character Mable.
