the grass widower awakes

the moment I move my hand
signals my cat as I awake -
time to feed him and the ferine

• off comes the apnea mask
• off comes the eye mask
• out come the ear plugs
• allow the phone to disturb

Tinky continues his assailment
on my hands lovingly -
hungrily... then my legs
once slung to the floor

groggily I sojourn to the kitchen
split a can of cat food
top off the kibble and a treat
for Tink, create a buffet for
Angel outside the front door

trees waggle accusing fingers
below a white patched blue sky -
"you haven't written a poem yet!"
they intimate accusingly -
nose stuffed, eyes in turmoil
I adjourn to the loo to spend
a penny and a quarter or two

afternoon medz drowned
in a protein shake...
check for texts on the phone
drowsily death scroll facebook
on my cell phone
while my desktop fires up -
contemplate the wood stove

on Rhyme Desk now -
two fingers fly as I contemplate
Thursdays at Two's new assignment
"medicine": check!... see L6
Lol... nah, already created
an acrostic on the fly last session -
note my affinity for 'z''s:

medz 4.16.2026

medz for this and medz for that
even medz to counter medz to...
dystopian my lot with my medz
zymurgy looking better every day
.
.
now to post on my Padlet
and my google.doc - then post
and peruse on LitNet ---
up to three fingers now!

adieu

Me too!
A typical day for laughter and sadness.
And that good for nothing Angel is still feeding at his second household :D!
