I didnt know Litnet was still around until Hawkman sent me a link to a short story. What is up? Who's still here?

Papaya! Good the see you too.
Same ole, same ole, I reckon.
But hey, we’re getting the band back together.
Ya know, to me this little ole website is like a cozy neighborhood cafe. Everybody knows everybody else. Some people are here every day and some just drop in from time to time, but it’s always good to see folks here.
Anyhoo, whooee, y’all gettin’ winter up there this week, eh? Just rain-rain-rain for us this time of year. I could use a couple of beignets and a coffee with a little chicory in it from down at the Café Du Monde, me. You in?

I. am. in.
One of the funniest memories I have of litnet is the time you had the neighborhood kids put little flags in the dog poop in your yard so if would be easier to find.

Haha.
It was awkward explaining to their mothers my thinking in setting them off on this fake tootsie-roll scavenger hunt. But it was fun watching them run around the yard and occasionally raising a cheer—whoo-hoo! found one!—and then stabbing a drink umbrella into it. Those kids are grown now and in spite of this childhood trauma, they seem to be doing okay. I bet they have dogs of their own now.
