I am in 10th grage and I had to read Siddhartha for my honors english class. When i read this book I had a student teacher wh owas great! She decided t ohave a class debate on whether or not it was good to read this book in high school. Well i thought i was a good book to read in high school because we could relate to it and we learned about a different culture. Well a certain person in my class believed that we could have read something else and leave this till college, but isn't high school a prep for college so why not read it now??? Also it makes you think about your own life and what are you going to do with your life or what is your career? So all i really have to say is that it is a great book and if you haven't had the chance to read go out and get it because you learn alot. If possible whom ever reads Siddhartha sit down and think about what it has taught and what have you questioned about your life. Thanks
