At one time every school had a troupe of girls who performed an Apollonian dance such as this May Pole dance. Beltane was celebrated in New England and still is in part of Europe. This is the type of fun they should have again in high schools and colleges. If you are going to write a book/story about Apollo and his influence, do so about a topic like this. I'm sure it would make for interesting reading.
