Loved this short story:

Fun fact: Margaret Sefton was a Litnet user during a short time.

Bitter-sweet poem.
Fittingly the only scripture I've been able to memorize is "Jesus wept".
The light of Christ is a gift to all and especially manifest in children. I was blessed to conduct our Easter Sacrament service yesterday and as part of my remarks I read a children's hymn as a poem especially to our young children:
"Jesus once was a little child,
A little child like (you);
And he was pure and meek and mild,
As a little child should be.
He played as little children play
The pleasant games of youth;
But he never got vexed if the game went wrong,
And he always spoke the truth.
So, little children,
Let’s you and I
Try to be like him,
Try, try, try."
... then mentioned that as we try to perfect ourselves to become like Jesus on this Earthly plane only Jesus can finish our perfection through His infinite atoning sacrifice.
Another part of my remarks was quoted from one of our general authorities:
I missed Elder Jeffrey R. Holland at General Conference (last weekend) and pray for him and his wife a speedy recovery. From one of his talks from May 1999 he said:
“I confess that I have reflected at length upon that moment and the resurrection which was shortly to follow it. I have wondered what that reunion must have been like: the Father that loved this Son so much, the Son that honored and revered His Father in every word and deed. For two who were one as these two were one, what must that embrace have been like? What must that divine companionship be yet? We can only wonder and admire. And we can, on an Easter weekend, yearn to live worthily of some portion of that relationship ourselves.” - “The Hands of the Fathers,” Ensign May 1999
I ponder how much more would I have felt blessed if a member of my family was in the congregation :)

Congrats, tailor, I suppose this was your first Easter service. It must have been very moving. It's a pity nobody from your family was present, but people today seem to be very independent , when it comes to Religion. Every one follows a own path.

My second Easter conducting :) So true about paths though; one has to answer to their own calling. My calling, my path: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— / I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference." (snippet from R.Frost The Road Not Taken :)

I think the important thing is that you feel that you have made the right choice :). And family dispositions may change in the future.
