wow. it's pretty amazing to see how ignorant some people are (i'm looking at you "rizzo"). when you're working at mcdonald's complaining about how it sucks, just imagine if you had to work there with a person watching over you, making sure you did everything exactly the right way or else you were out on the street, giving your job to someone else. all the while, having to go to work everyday wether you were sick, tired, stoned, or bored with risk of having someone else step into your job. this book made it possible for you to be able to have a choice of jobs instead of being forced to work in anything that was available. maybe when you grow up, you'll read it again and realize how wrong you are.

I would agree that the book can sometimes be boring; I wouldn't say that I couldn't put the book down. However, I think that the book has an important message and that's what makes it interesting enough to keep reading. Plus, the plot is more enjoyable as the book goes on. I think you are definitely missing the point of the book and need to enjoy literature for more than just action. I would suggest this book to anyone, especially for a class, because the themes are so clear, though obviously they aren't to you.

I struggled to get to page 6 in this book. This book was so boring I almost went into a coma. It's hard to follow and honestly I cannot lie-I wouldn't recommend it for any class ever even if it was the last book on the face of the Earth.
