There was a way through
The blackberry bushes
That scratched your skin with purple stains
You showed me your breasts
By the elm before the disease
That kissed death
Quitely
There was a way through
The blackberry bushes
Back home
The sun was shining
For sure
Exposing you for what you are
Nipples
And thorns
It's dinner time
My knees are scabbed
I'm heading home.

Enjoyed.

I had to look up "quitely": without making much noise?: nope... Definition of quitely obsolete: ENTIRELY, QUITE.

Innocence lost perhaps...

Thanks all. Sorry for my tardiness I'm not around so much these days. The Quitely was a typo tailer. Thanks Tony Cacian and Shadow for your kind words.
And Jack of Hearts where did you spring up from? Feel like I haven't heard from you in years. I posted a tribute poem to you once. Yet you don't write you don't call 😆. Great to hear from you mate.
Thanks again all

Watcha, JB. Nice to see your shades of bitter cropping their unique fruit. Stay well and productive.
