The Shard is impressive, but I wouldn´t like to live in an urban glass tower.

It reminded me of another tower, which, I see now, has become a big piece of business. (Well, at least the prison itself wasn´t turned into a dining room for 80 people :(.

Sanchi... incredible ancient bas relief and other artwork.

Yes, the beautiful Temple in S.P. (its structure reminds me of my local temple)... a wonderful history I hadn't read before. I recall that one of our General Authorities, Elder Ulisses Soares, is from S.P. . As a convert late in life I've only attended two temples (though many times): receiving my endowments at the Oakland, California Temple in 2005, and attending the dedication at the Sacramento, California Temple (my current local temple) in 2006. I visited the Seattle, Washington Temple just after my Mother passed on, but it was closed at the time.

Ishtar Gate... exquisite artwork dating to a period of time with events important, coincidentally, to my faith:
King Nebuchadnezzar II reigned 604–562 BCE, the peak of the Neo-Babylonian Empire. He is known as the biblical conqueror who captured Jerusalem..

From one market to another: Marché du Midi in Brussels. Every Sunday, this is the place where fish traders from Ostend are selling shrimps next to men from the south selling oranges... Where Eurocrats come to find a specific ingredient they can not find anywhere else, and mingle with mothers of large families who come shopping for the week.

In the back is the lower part of Tour du Midi, long time the talest tower in Brussels. Behind is Gare du Midi, from where the Eurostars and TGV's leave for London, Paris, Lyon, ...

Cool...
Wright nicknamed the Price Tower, which was built on the Oklahoma prairie, "the tree that escaped the crowded forest," referring not only to the building's construction, but also to the origins of its design. The Price Tower is supported by a central "trunk" of four elevator shafts which are anchored in place by a deep central foundation, as a tree is by its taproot. The nineteen floors of the building are cantilevered from this central core, like the branches of a tree. The outer walls hang from the floors and are clad in patinated copper "leaves." The building is asymmetrical, and like a tree, "looks different from every angle."... Wikipedia
