I am 14 years old and I saw a version of the film today, I found it quite good. I haven't read the book, but this version of the film brought the story to life. I haven't actually read the book, just heard the story from my mum and dad and it's fairly moving! How on earth can people say that it is boring - okay, this is speculation, the film MAY be better than the book, as it could take the essence of what the book says and simplifies it, but still - if people don't like the book because its too long or rambling or whatever they should see if they like the story in film version. The Disney one (which I've not seen) looks to be all sugar-coated, to suit kids, but the version that I've seen (ends with Quasimodo dying on the table while Esmerelda and husband ring bells) was definately good.

I do plan to read the book and see exactly how complicated it is, and to find the real ending (my mum and dad refuse to tell me!! Argh) and will tell you what I think of the book!
