i read this book many years ago while in high school -- i have to agree with the previous comment -- the book is full of emotion -- perhaps some of the greatest writing ever done -- my personal favorite line: "oh that i were made of stone likie these statues ..." -- quasimodo suffering from a broken heart ... and i agree, the story is not long at all -- try other really great books like the count of monte cristo -- at least 3 times longer ... the hunchback is a great story -- i would highly recommend it to anyone ...

come on people its based on a true story, you can't say it was boring. Who ever thinks this is a boring book and it sucks, sorry to say you have no emotions. Think about how beautifully this book is written, how much hate and love the charaters had. Everything was described so well and the plot was amazing with so much emotion. This is on my top five list of favourite books.

P.S. ITS AVERAGE SIZE NOVEL, before you say its long read some novels that have level higher that gr. 3.
