I chose to read this book for my senior english class. We all were instructed to choose one book from a selected list and I picked Les Miz. I am so glad I did. It is an amazing story of society in France, but I could relate to it because it is so incredibly like today's society. The story brought tears to my eyes. I recommend this book to everyone...the musical is also a tear-jerker. Thank god we had an author like Hugo, his portrayal has bridged a history gap between revolutionary France, and present day America.
