mark twain wrote this book because he had something to say and something to share with the world. he wanted people to know that racism is wrong and religion worthless when filledwith hypocrisy. he didn't mention these issues to show you that he believed in them, he mentioned them so that people would understand the effects of slavery and how wrong it is. and the fued with the shepardsons, the law would not have been involed because in that time, that's how they delt with arguments. mark twain's book is a live example of what is wrong with society and an answer to the ultimate questions. so we all ask what did twain want us to know? he wanted us to know that racism is wrong, relgion is not good when covered with hypocrisy, and the only escape is feeling good. huck followed his heart and although he was taught all his life that slavery was right, in his heart he knew it was not the way things should be. it's not just a story it goes a lot deeper if you let it.
