All of who who that the book was stupid or boring TOTALLY MISSED the whole point of the book! If you'd just stop looking at it as a book and therefore it sucks maybe you'd see how great it is. I admit i didnt like the book when i started reading it either but the more you get into the book the more you start to see the real meaning behind the book and that it's not jsut a story about to people floating down a river. Twain ment it to reflect society and how hypocritical it can be- the humor to me was the satire used throughout the whole book. You can find so much meaning in the book if you just look! One might even say that Huck Finn can be parralled to Uncle Tom's Cabin with the fact that both books were created to prove a point and to show how society and people really are. I belive this is a truly great book and that it SHOULD NOT be read by younger kids becuase most of them won't get the point or the depth of the book and will end up hating it just like some of the people who posted on here do.
