I'll start by saying that the book did not personally excite me very much. Events were unrealistic and exaggerated ,but, that of course is the point. Twain wrote satire, that's what you do in satire, you exaggerate things, you make fun of things. Ok, enough of that, now to my real point. I am commenting on the statement that the book should be banned because the last eight chapters are boring. The person who said that should understand that by Tom coming back into the story and literally making child's play of the very serious situation shows how much Huck has actually grown through his journey. By saying that the book should be banned you show your ignorance. Aside from racism, child abuse, and greed, Twain addresses the general decadence of American society.
