I agree. I have only seen the one with Orson Wells and Joan Fontaine though. And I agree, it does not even come close to the experience of reading the book. :)

This certainly is the model from which many a love story has been written. It is worth reading however, a real classic. I had seen three different versions of this movie, but none of them rivals the experience of reading the book. Wonderful.
