I am a grade 11 student and we had to read Jane Eyre as part of our English course. Personally, I found the book boring and tiresome to read, mostly due to the fact that it was overly descriptive. but thats just my opinion. One of my friends who is also taking the same course thought the book was quite good. Jane Eyre is a strong femal character and I really think we need more of that but I think that she tends to be far too self righteous at times. The whole death of Helen Burns totally creeped me out. I wouldn't really recommend this book.
