Collision from an Atlas semi on the freeway
Oh my God. Hopefully no one got hurt.
I was five months pregnant, the nanny in the passenger seat, 11 month old Julia in the backseat. Backseat was smashed except where she was sitting. She received one scratch on her nose. The babysitter had internal and external bruising, and I had a couple of light bruises on one leg and hip. Unborn baby was untouched.
Semi that hit us had a good chunk destroyed off of the front, though. Rather proud about that....
How good your daughters and you survived! Was that long ago? Is the car no longer good?
Valentine's Day morning 2007. Car was totaled. Front entirely smashed in as well.
This is a very effective picture, especially because this seems to have been taken a while after the accident, and so there is this subtle haunting memory which lurks behind it.
My! ... you were all really lucky... how good it was just the car.
