This is the Elovena girl, a young lady in a Finnish national dress standing on the field. Anyone (or at least any female) who looks particularly "Finnish" is often compared to her. She is the figure of a Finnish company which makes anything from oat (porridge, cookies, cereal).

So she's like a National icon!
Beautiful drawing Anna, seems that lecture was really boring because it took the best out of your pencil

I knew it was going to be boring, so I was planning to do some knitting or crocheting. In the morning I realised I couldn't find proper yarn quicly enough, so I took my pencils and a sketchbook instead

Oh, I see... I'll remember to be prepared for knitting when a boring event comes my way

No, really, knitting helps me to concentrate on boring lectures where I have to fight to keep my eyes open unless my hands have got something to do. Knitting/crocheting is an ideal pastime for boring lectures, as it occupies my hands and keeps me awake but doesn't bother my concentration on what's been said by the teacher Besides, it's amazing how much one can do in a couple of two-hour lectures
