First of all, I love stairs, any picture with stairs, just leaves me fascinated. Secondly, I love the blurry grittyness of the picuture which makes it quite unnerving. Thirdly, I love the steepness of the steps, one feels agraphobic looking down into it, as if you are about to fall in. The floor at the bottom is weird and even more strange than a bottomless pit. I don't want to sound overly flattering or anything, but this is a very well done composition and it looks like you spent a lot of time working on it.

Did you add in post-editing effects? Also, do you use film? I don't know why, but it just feels like this picture was taken with film.

I am humbled by your kind words. Thank you. It just dawned on me that no two stairs are the same, or made with the same material and placed at the same corner which probably explains your fascination with them... or not. Anyway, I used a flimsy camera phone (3.5 megapixel, I think) to take this picture and it took a couple of shots before I finally became satisfied with this one. Minor post-editing was done, as I am still learning the wonders of photoshop. I merely tinkered with the contrast and adjusted the levels. How about you? Do you edit your photos?

I wish I had a film camera, or polaroid! It would be wonderful.

Wow, I never would've thought that it was done with a camera phone! I was practically convinced that it had been done on a film camera. Either way, excellent job!

As for me, I never edit my photos, mainly because I don't have photoshop and I'm still contemplating whether or not to get it.

    !!!
Hmm..I think you're doing quite well on your own without photoshop. But if you're the type to experiment and want some variety, then it's worth a shot.

I LOVE camera phone pictures. Some of my best photographs have this ethereal, gritty, strange quality or an unnerving glow/aura to them...this is the perfect example! I love it!
