Cattedral di Santa Maria del Fiore; The Duomo of Florence, Italy. Started in 1296 in the Gothic style. Designed by Amolfo di Cambio. The dome was engineered/ designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. B&W film photograph, 1998
That's an amazing building. Beautiful shot...love the angle and b/w effect.
Speechless. . . . . . Wonderful texture, just wonderful.
The angle is interesting, and I guess the B&W works well with what's framed. But that church should be seen in color to do it justice. By the way, I climbed to the bell tower in the morning and the coupola (sp?) in the afternoon one day there. I think they're about 13 or 14 stories each.
It's just so massive. Is there any kind of art you can't do, Gilliatt?
