La Jolla tide pools.
La Jolla is a town? A beach? I wish I was there
Pronounced La Hoya, it's a beach and a town. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world. The tide pools are a very rare ecosystem with civilizations of tiny critters living all throughout in little water holes in the rocks. There are giant oceanic caves and tunnels to where people can walk down inside and see the waves rushing in. There is a beach for surfing. There is a cove that was called "Kids Cove" because of its gentle waters. It was and is perfect for snorkeling, but once migratory seals have made a permanent home of it so it's now called seal beach, and the seals have become an attraction for tourists and sharks. La Jolla is the second most expensive beach town in California (the first is Malibu), but the parking is free and people of all income levels go there to relax and mingle. The sun is warm. The air is dry with cool breezes off of the always cold pacific. In the Big Lebowski they say that the character Donnie surfed the beaches of southern California from La Jolla to Písmo. Gregory Peck lived here. The movies "Traffic" and "Bring it on" were filmed here. I love it too. I think if everyone could have a La Jolla, the world could not possibly be sad.
Oh right. It sounds tremendous, apart from the sharks, though I did see a program abut a bloke who has worked out how to tame them by rubbing their noses, I personally don't want to get that close. It does look like something else even from a single photo. I'll keep an eye out for the last two movies you cited. Don't think I've seen them (heading over to IMDB right now )
'Bring it on' is a horrible cheerleader movie. 'Traffic' won awards, but eh. The sharks aren't too bad. Did you know more people are killed by deer every year?
