When starving scholar Guy Ducaine receives the highly sensitive job of Secretary to the Committee of National Defense he accepts without hesitation; despite warnings given him by Lady Angela, daughter to Duke of Rowchester, Ducaine’s employer. Being young and inexperienced, Ducaine’s task of guarding the secret war plans from enemy’s hands proves almost impossible. Ducaine’s fate, high honors or shameful exile, remains to be realized.--Submitted by n. moghadam.
