I'm trying to write a paper on Donne's Holy Sonnet 10. I have to identify the tone of this poem. Can any one help me out? It's not dark and depressing, but it's also not skip through the flowers and watch the sheep.

Well, I'd say there is a certain irony and humour in an address to death telling it not to be too proud.

thank you! I love this poem...I just hate literary analysis. Especially when it's a 3 page paper on a 14 line poem.
