I have to do an essay on how Hardy presents the roles of women in a victorian society and i am completely lost. It seems like such an easy topic but i have no idea where to start... can anyone help? All messages will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like an interesting topic though I've got to write an essay about 'any topic at all as long as it's related to the victorian period'.. There's so much to choose! Where to start :-/
