    tragedy in jude the obscure

i think that hardy was very much influenced by the idea of making all his characters suffer all through the novel . hardy tries to make his reader aware of the 19th centry british society , but he exagerated because he cannot depect what reality is and his jugement was imagemery more than realistic . i hope this could help so far.

I was very impressed and moved by this story. Having no previous knowledge of the writer or the tale I had no idea what the story was about. I soon found myself transported to a world although long ago still has many similarities of todays world. The story caused me to reflect on my own life.
