    Great symbolism

    I felt that the symbolism was phenomenal and i highly recommend the book to anyone who admires American Literature.

    The symbolism is the deeper meaning of the novel. For example the car symbolism represents the careless headonistic rich. this is exemplified in Gatby's ostentasious yellow car. this car is further involved in the symbolism as Myrtle was murdered by Daisy in that car, the fact that Myrtle ran to the car shows she wanted the life style the car represents and also that Daisy drove off without even stopping shows the carelessness which the cars symbolise.
