Comparison-contrast: "The Jilting of Granny Weatherall" and "The Most Dangerous Game"

I am writing a comparison-contrast essay on "The Jilting of Granny Weatherall" by Katherine Anne Porter and "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell, but I am having a hard time picking out one main aspect of the story to focus on, the common ground.

Does anyone out there know these two stories and have an idea of where I could go with my essay? Any and all help is much appreciated!
