When I was in college, I worked with a girl who had a poem printed out on the wall of her cubicle. I remember her saying a friend of hers wrote it. I read it once, and committed it to memory. I would really like to find this long lost poet, and tell that person, that it is one of the coolest poems I have ever read.
Autumn forests find their way into your eyes
It is in these forests that I become lost
Captured willingly by the deep brown
Drawn to the darkness in the center
It is here where I feel safe
For I know they shall protect me
As I draw closer to you
And deeper into your forests
Your eyes become the ocean
And drown me in their perfect calmness
