Jekyll and Hyde as Gothic Literature

Hi, I'm new to this, but I have an assesment for my extention english class. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I need to say how Jekyll and Hyde exhibits the conventions of the Gothic genre and how these conventions are supported or subverted according to the contextual influence of values and belief systems. If anyone can help in any way it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
