    secondary source

    Hi,
I need a quote from a secondary source for my Macbeth essay discussing the negative effects of excessive ambition as seen in Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Does anyone know where I can find a quote from a secondary source - not within the novel - an article or official essay?

    Regards,

the best place to start looking is at your library. School or public, it doesn't really matter. You'll find volume after volume of shakespearean literary criticisms in the research section. Another good source might be an online database. I don't suggest just trying to find a quote from some random webpage though. Sorry I can't be more of a help, Shakespeare isn't really my thing. Good hunting!
