    Characters

    Hi guys,

    Im doing an essay and i am so lost trying to do if any help would be appreciated

    here it is:

    "Discuss Dickens technique of using names to denote Characters in the Novel Oliver Twist"

    There are a few posibilities that could be giving you trouble - one is you might not have read the book - hope it's not.
    Two - you might be having trouble with the word "denote"
    If these are your problems - then I suggest reading the book and looking up the word denote.

    Now if they're not.... you must anaylze some of characters (I would go with Oliver Twist, Artful Dodger, Fagin, Mr. Bumble). Create a chart of who they are (inside and out) and then examine the name given to them (Artful Dodger is a good one to stat with).
