Machado De Assis: Brazilian Master of Literature

    Hello,
Machado de Assis was -at least in my opinion( and believe that I am the only one)- a genius in literature - at least Brazilianīs- his works are very nice, mainly the short-stories.
If you(Admin.) want to, I think I can do -with help of some friends of mine- a summarize of his biography & main works!
Thank You For Atention - I am waiting a reply

Could you plese post it on the forums now? It can go on the site later fter admin has Okayed it, but I( and I'm sure lots of other people) would like to see something now. The name isn't familiar to me and I'm interested. A net search gave some interesting biographical details, but there's nothing about his works in English. Do go ahead and give us a summary.
    I'm nobody, who are you?
    Are you nobody too?
    There's a pair of us, don't tell!
    They'd banish us, you know!

    How dreary to be somebody!

    Machado de Assis and Camoens

Machado de Assis is one of brazilian literature masters together Camoens. To whom are reading me dont think it is a mistake of mine - it is an unbelieved assertion because ninety nine percent of brazilian poetry authors write based on him. Even Machado de Assis read and studied Camoens' works, not only The Lusiads but specially Liric Poems, that Assis read in deep. He wrote a theatre drama named Tu, só tu puro amor, represented at Rio de Janeiro, to celebrate the 3 Centenary of the Camoens death, in 1880.
I would like if there is someone interested in camoniast aspects of Machado de Assis so that I could change some ideas.
By, by folks of world that love portuguese and brazilian literature.
    Awaiting to hear from anybody,
    Ademar Araujo
